5 Tips for a Flatter Stomach!
We're midway through October and for most of us bathing suit season is little more than a stressful memory. And what better way to get into the swim of things than to trim down that tummy?

  • Begin eating smaller, more balanced portions of food! Such a small step can lead to noticeable results fast. We all know a gym rat who has a hard time trimming his or her tummy despite spending hours a week pounding out the sit-ups. The simple explanation may be their stomach is too full. By downsizing your portions you're moving toward downsizing your belly.
  • Worry about overall body fat! We mentioned earlier how you cannot spot reduce. That goes for your stomach. Imagine how weird our body would look if we lost ONLY stomach weight? By one account, doing leg exercises burns five times more body fat than doing sit-ups. Exercising the entire body with one of Leslie's great workout tapes is the best way to burn fat from the belly and elsewhere.
  • Vary your workout! Exercising the ab muscles twice a week is plenty. Maybe make Monday and Thursday your Ab Attack days. Muscles become stronger and more firm when we force them to adapt to stress and resistance. As a muscle recovers from a workout, it comes back better and stronger. Give your muscles time to recover – in time you'll see amazing results.
  • Stand tall! You're mother probably told you time and again to stand up straight. Now it's my turn. With childhood obesity and diabetes at an all-time high – and the disturbing numbers are growing daily – it's important that we start tending to our children now. After all, an overweight child is much more likely to become an overweight adult.
