I started my weight loss program in March
of 2002. At that time I weighed 245 lbs, was 59 years old and
wearing a 24-26-dress size. My daughter and daughter-in-law
had just begun Weight Watchers so I joined also. I knew that
I needed to find an exercise program and in one of the promos
for WW there was a video with Leslie and Florine. I decided
to try this and that began my journey.
I used the tape until I got to a point that
I was rewinding it and playing it twice. I really enjoyed Leslie’s
relaxed attitude and encouragement. I knew at that point that
I needed to advance in difficulty. I went to the website and
found the tapes and the weighted balls and purchased that package.
I used these tapes until about 5 months ago when I again wanted
to increase my exercise program. After talking with another
member I decided to try the walk-away belt. I purchased that
package and have been using it ever since.
In January of this year I reached a goal
weight of 170 lbs that had been given to me by my doctor. I
am now a lifetime WW member but continue to lose weight with
my doctor’s approval. I now weight 155 but hope to eventually
get to 145. I wear a size 12 now and believe it or not even
my shoe size changed!
I have recommended Leslie’s tapes to
several people and know that without those tapes I would not
have had the success that I have had. I just ordered replacement
parts for my walk-away belt and more advanced tape, which includes
some jogging.
Every day is an exciting new time for me.
I no longer avoid mirrors or shopping. I am amazed at how the
weight loss and exercise program have affected my mental state.
The days that I do not exercise I find myself trudging through
the day. The days when I do begin with exercise I find myself
with a more positive attitude that stays with me throughout
the day.
I want to thank Leslie for the quiet, relaxed
approach and the encouragement, which she sets forth in her
tapes. Thank you all again.
