				<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Wishing our WALKERS a very Healthy Holiday Season!</p>
<p>Each year I challenge my children and myself to spend time on the really meaningful aspects of the Holidays.  Sure, we should attend parties, shop, bake cookies or decorate with festive lights, but stop for a minute and ask, “<em>what truly makes this time important?”</em></p>
<p>If you ask me, all my favorite things are not <em>things </em>at all.  They do, however, begin with an F!  Faith, Family, Friends, Fitness—(you knew I’d find a way to add this one!)  I can’t think of one possession that captures my attention the way my children’s giggles engage me totally.  The sweet sounds and smells of Christmas at my house are the gifts I look for.  Sometimes we need a reminder that our “presence” is the “present!”</p>
<p>I am sure that your warm hug, kind words and joy-filled smile are what your friends truly remember about you.  What will your holiday be like?  Will you experience a rushed, chaotic blur of days?  Or will you enjoy your loved ones while continuing to take good care of yourself and BE THE GIFT?  Don’t let a box take your place!</p>
<p>The health and weight loss news for this month is:  DON’T GIVE UP!  Balance is what you need in order to have a blessed and healthy holiday.  This is not the time to stop workouts.  You can shorten them, but don’t stop.  Remember, a little walking goes a long way.</p>
<p>One way to really BALANCE your life during the holidays, even if you don’t celebrate, is by planning to walk 1 Mile each day! Regular walkers know we can do this in 15 min. or less!  Everyone can fit in 15 min. a day!  It’s a great way to stay motivated and balanced!  Managing stress is what exercise does best!  Keeping our energy high and our spirits soaring is the way to handle the holiday.  Remind yourself of all of your hard work this past year, and I promise a few days of cookies and eggnog will not throw you off track.  This holiday, enjoy everything in moderation.  Get your rest, eat healthy (most days), and WALK…even in small doses!</p>
<p>Whatever your celebration or faith, I wish you the ultimate gift:  <em>to be healthy in God’s love, peace and strength!</em></p>

<h3><span style="color: #808080;">QVC was on the air for approximately one year when my video distribution company <strong>presented the QVC buyer at the time (Kim Patterson) with my workout video titled <span style="color: #ff0000;">WALK Aerobics</span></strong>. It was a unique way to walk for fitness in your own home without a treadmill or any expensive equipment. You can walk for miles but stay right in front of your TV!</span></h3>
<h3><span style="color: #808080;">Ms. Patterson was just about to reject this product because she was concerned that it would be difficult for the host to describe. Was it walking around in your kitchen? What is Walk at Home?</span></h3>
<h3><span style="color: #808080;">Shelly Rudin, the representative at my video distribution company, pleaded to Ms. Patterson to let me show her how it worked and convinced her that it was a great product for the QVC audience. When Ms. Patterson allowed me to show her a demo, <em><strong>she became a walk at home believer instantly!</strong></em></span></h3>
<h3><span style="color: #808080;">Ms. Patterson then went on to ask Joseph Segel, the founder of QVC, if I could go on-air with the host to demonstrate my walking workouts. <strong><span style="color: #ff0000;">He said YES!</span></strong></span></h3>
<h3><span style="color: #808080;">Boy, let me tell you- my mission to get more people walking had made a major leap forward. In my first appearance with the host Steve Bryant, we sold out in minutes! Mr. Segel and I met after that show and I think he had one of those “turning point” moments! The presentation of the product was more powerful when the creator was there!</span></h3>

<h3><span style="color: #808080;">I will never forget the kindness Mr. Segel showed, especially when he asked where I was from. They made it a fun beginning for me! I would bring my son to the shows where he would crawl around the steps of the stage while I was on air. There were so many wonderful memories for me, and I am so thankful to Mr. Segel and my QVC family!</p>

<li>We produced a Walk With the QVC Hosts show and it was so much fun! Kathy Levine, Steve Bryant, Mary Beth Roe, Mike Roe, and other favorite hosts!  20,000 Q shoppers have this video! Sweaty!!!</li>
<li>I was a program host for 6 weeks (thank you John Eastman for believing that I could do it)! Did anyone see those shows (or only my mother)? It was called Wake Up Workout with Leslie Sansone! John E. was too sweet! He should have fired me after the first show since I was terrible! I have so much respect for the job of a QVC host! Whew, it’s a big job! I struggled during the 6 weeks and no one asked me to return as a host. However, (thank goodness) I was asked to return as the nation’s Walking Coach!</li>
<li>One of my all-time favorite times at QVC was when funny man, Tim Conway, came down the stairs of the set and started walking behind me! We laughed so hard that the producers ended the show early! Another show, Marie Osmond jumped in with our Walk Team (I mean “walked” in), and my son walked Joan River’s dog – yes – she tipped him (and he took it! Lol)!</li>

<p>Always surprising and always exciting! You never know what’s next at the Q! I wouldn’t want it any other way!</p>

<p>This one will focus on <strong>the best health goal you can set for yourself: <span style="color: red;">reducing the waistline!</span></strong></p>
<p>Your waistline is very important to maintaining a healthy body.  The mid-section is the core of your body.  When it’s out of shape, it can affect your back, comfort, body image, and confidence.  But there is even more news …..</p>
<p><strong>Studies show that the weight around our middle is the most </strong><strong><span style="color: red;">dangerous</span></strong><strong> weight.</strong></p>
