What’s the Difference, Anyway?

We have received tons Tweets and Facebook posts asking,

What’s the difference between the Walk Away the Pounds DVDs?

Mary, a SUPER Walker asked: I have the Ultimate Walk Away the Pounds Collection with 1, 2, 3 & 4 mile walks on it. Is the Original Walk Away the Pounds (that is called for multiple times on the June calendar of the Walk Club) one of these or is it something else?

Well, Mary, we THANK YOU for sending such an AWESOME question.  Here’s our answer:

  • The Original Walk Away the Pounds workouts uses Weighted Balls as the Walk Booster – They are 2 lbs. in each hand and they are blue.  That’s how you know it’s the original WATP!  *We did not have a 4 Mile Workout in this original set!  Also, the Weighted Balls have been replaced with our Soft Hand Weights!
  • Version 2 of WATP is called Walk Away the Pounds for Abs!  These workouts used the original Walk Belt (not the Weighted Belt in Walk Yourself Thin line sold in Target stores)
  • Version 3 of WATP is called  Walk Away the Pounds EXPRESS!  These workouts use The Stretchie (now called Firm Band)

Each of these different versions were designed to highlight the different boosters.  So, the best way to identify a workout is to ask what booster was used in the workout?

Don’t forget: every 15 minutes of our walking workout is equal to a mile of exercise.  Just plug any of your fave DVD’s into this formula to follow any of our challenges!  The Walk Away the Pounds series is still loved by many, and we are so thankful for our SUPER FANS!

If you are a huge fan of Walk Away the Pounds, take a minute to check out what fans are saying about our latest workouts: Walk Eat Lose and The Power Set!  Are you a UK Walker?  Walk Eat Lose is available at QVC UK! We are updating our website and our store, and can’t wait to introduce you to the brand new WALK CLUB!  Stay tuned…

HAPPY WEDNESDAY!

I too am on the Success Stories page. I can't say enough about how much Leslie means to me in my life. She has been so inspiring and motivating to me. I have been going strong now almost a year in July. I often times can't believe it when I look in the mirror. I have plateaued and am having a hard time getting through it. However, I still see a smaller, sleeker body. I am leaner and feel the energy I get from my daily walks with Leslie. Even though we have never met, I feel like she is my best friend. I just bought my mom the new Body Boost Cable system. Wow... is it AMAZING!! THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU Leslie... you have changed me inside and out!

I have been using Leslie's dvds since they were vhs tapes!!!! I thoroughly enjoy working out to Lelsie's dvds. Even if I am not highly motivated at the beginning I get motivated within 5 minutes of starting the workout.I joined a weight loss contest at my job and my team won. We used Leslie's dvds for most of our workouts. We really like the 5 mile fat burning walk with boosted walking at the end of each 12 minute segment. Now we are wondering if there are any other dvds that are at this advanced level or even more advanced. We were hoping for a 10 minute mile workout. We loved "walking like a runner!" When will the new webpage/store be ready? Can't wait!!!

Leslie, you often mention that burning calories is a healthy function of the body, also when there is no need to lose weight. Will you please elaborate more about this in your blog? I'd like to know what other benefits and positive influence burning calories has on the body besides managing weight. Love love love the workouts! They are the backbone of my fitness library!

The store is back up, but it's the same as before. When will the "new" store be open? And will this mean more products for us to purchase?

Hello Marlene! We don't have the 3 Mile Weight Loss for download just yet! Getting DVDs to internet download has been a HUGE request from Walkers, and we are working on it! Thank you so much for your interest and for walking with us!! Walk strong!!

I love Leslie's walking videos. I'm 35 and had three babies back to back with bed rest pregnancies. My youngest is 18 months and I have a lot of work to do in order to get fit. I enjoy walking with Leslie and feel it really working. The only complaint I have at all is that the walk boosters (I bought the walk your waistline thin with the corded belt) are latex and I have a severe latex allergies. I do the video without the booster, but wish there were a latex free version. :(

Leslie, Really enjoy my Walk at Home DVD set. On one of my Body Boost Cables the rubber tubing tore from the ball on the bottom. Do you have replacements and could I order a set.

We have used all of the DVD's at our High School. Started a Wellness group in Feb. Had great results. We cannot have any latex in our school due to allergies. We love the cables but which the products were latex free so we could use at school. Is there a possiblity of this happening soon? Blessings,

I am a huge fan of Leslie and have done all different miles including the walk away the pounds series. I am 5'2" and weigh around 126-128 lbs (depending on the day). For years I only used Leslie's tapes and maintained my weight around 122-124 lbs. I am in my late 40s and now I can't seem to lose the excess 3-4 lbs I have gained. I am pretty healthy eater so food is not an issue. Any suggestions?

I had a sad moment this morning. I get up at 4:30AM to exercise to my VHS version (2001) Walk Away the Pounds 2 Mile Walk High Calorie Burn. I have used it most weeks at least twice a week since I got it in 2001. For the last year, I am usually get in 4 times a week. I love the weighted balls. ( Have several others VHS that use the weighted balls, 4 mile, 3 mile and a few 1 miles) The two miles is just right for the time I have. I have other 2 mile walks with the bands and without the bands. Why am I sad? The tape starts and stops a few seconds later. Can you help? Do you know where I can get this in DVD or VHS? I really, really want another one. I love walking with those weighted balls!!!!

Let’s hear from you!
