Thank you for pointing out such a great resource. My wife and I will no doubt be exploring the RealAge.com website together soon for some support in our decision to be intentional about our overall health. We're watching what we eat and walking away the pounds every morning!
Have a great day,
David
I'm excited! Heading home from work in about an hour to do your four-mile workout! LOVE being healthy. I've lost 60 pounds! :D
Thanks for this information! That's awesome to know that I'm saving "brain cells" by walking too!! :-) Makes perfect sense and just one more reason to keep "Walkin' the Walk" with you, Leslie!! BTW, my daughter is considering your certification course for her move back to California in late April!!!! ;-)
Hello Leslie!
I'm a walker from England who adores your workouts! Thought you might like to see the article on the BBC website, about the benefits of walking outside - "Studies have shown that looking at greenery causes a rapid reduction in stress - blood pressure, muscle tension pulse rate - usually within minutes of exposure, and is most obvious when the body is already stressed."

Would you consider filming your wonderful walks in the countryside/beach/woodland etc? It would be wonderful on cold, dark, rainy days to follow your workout whilst looking at beautiful scenery too! Would be a good excuse for you & your team to fly to the Caribbean! All in the name of work of course!
Best wishes

I am 68 years old and I try and do the Walk Slim every day
and I was delighted to hear when you walk every day you
are like 10 years younger and the bonus saving brain cells too.
I have been walking with you since 2001 when I purchased my first
VHS Tape Walk Away the Pounds now I have your DVD "s.
Thank You so much.
Leslie,
Thank you soooo much. You have brought me back from the brink. I feel like I am really making progress because I can pop in your 5 mile video and get so much house work done. And I don't have to trek off to the gym. I march around the house and clean up. It is awesome. Your voice is soo encouraging. I just love you and your videos. Thank you
Thank you for the classic Walk Away The Pounds 2 mile walk on this month's Walk Club page.It is so much fun to do again. Also happy for the 15 min mile express. It is so easy to get in the walk before work that way. I am one happy walker.
Leslie, I've been walking with you for about 10 years. I just got another of your DVDs--the one with 1 to 4 mile walks with the stretchie band. In the 3-mile, you give a shout-out to the Pittsburgh Pirates. I just have to know: are you from the Pittsburgh area?
I was curious to know how many calories are burned each mile ?
Great Q Laurie! Leslie wrote a blog on this! Here's the link: http://bit.ly/cSYl4n

I checked that blog link someone posted but still didnt find an answer. I've been doing the Evenning Mile plus legs for the past week. Looking to lose 35-40 lbs, I guess. I'm 4'11" & weigh 165, it seems a lot in hips, thighs, & butt w/ some stomach also. I've had three kids gaining forty pounds every time & think as got older had difficult time losing it. I'm also trying to deal w/ slight arthritis in left knee acting up. I think I'll do this DVD another week then try to do two miles & eventually use my WiiFit & Easy Stride machine I have.
I just got the 3 mile walk dvd and i have been a heavy smoker for over 35 years ,quit smoking 2 years ago,so i have some breathing problems so far i have managed to walk at least 1 mile everyday, sometimes i do 1 mile in the morning and 1 in the evening,i may not ever get to do mile 2 and 3 but i am loving doing what i can ,it gives me a lot more energy, thanks
