Hi Leslie
Just thought I would let you know about our little keep fit group here in
Coldingham, Scotland. We have a 16ft screen at the end of our village hall
and a projector that drops out of the ceiling. Each Wednesday evening about
15 of us get together, get weighed, discuss healthy eating and then using a
selection of your DVDs we proceed to walk “STRONG”. It’s amazing and good
fun to feel part of your walking group and even though you stand about 12ft
tall towering above us we can still give you some backchat (safely I think
knowing you are accross the pond). The group is run voluntarily by Helen who
is one of the practice nurses from the local doctors surgery who after she
publicly gets weighed she then, frighteningly, stands by the scales and
notes down our weekly weight loss and leads the discussion before we hit the
play button.
There are about 15 folk in the group and we all feel as if we are a lot
healthier even if the weight bounces about a bit after a holiday. My wife,
Denise and I are about to turn 65 and although we are not the oldest in the
group or by far the youngest we have been involved from the start of the
group just over a year ago. These sessions have also prompted many of the
group to purchase their own DVDs of the walks as well to use at home at
other times during the week. Although we get other men taking part at times,
I seem to be the only constant male and sometimes feel a bit like Steve in
your DVD being “forced to walk” with you shouting “don’t stop, don’t stop”.
We could send some photos of our sessions if we had an e-mail address to
attach them to and by the way, what a lovely view from your studio doors
during the fve mile walk.
So from the group, “thanks again”

Leslie

Leslie I'm 67 and I've been doing your DVDs for many, many years. I, too, love walking outside, but with you it is a better walk. I love the weights and my DVD is worn out ( 3 miles Super Fat Burning) with the blue weights. I tried to get another one 3 miles but it did not have weights with it. Is that DVD still available?

What a great impact you are having on others. I have been talking with the wife, and Esther and I might try to get a small group together once or twice a week to do the same thing that Dave is doing.

I tell every woman I can about your dvds - some have dabbled in them and some are keeping up. I think they are brilliant. So user friendly and forgiving. I just added wrist weights to increase the workouts for strength. I have the stretchy bands, the ankle cuffs for one of the dvds, the walk belt from another - I just keep changing it up to keep myself motivated. Also you are right that if you walk in the morning you tend to make healthy food choices throughout the day and it actually keeps the bad food cravings down I noticed. If I fall off the walking for a week here and there, I notice my cravings go up so it is interesting to note and a good reminder to keep on walking. Also you are right that everything in the body works better with the steady use of your walking routine. Thighs are stronger taking the strain off of the knees, the core is stronger taking strain off the back etc. I love to hear you say that oxygen fills all the cells around the body including the brain. There is nothing negative about walk walk walking. It's all good. It does lift your mood too. Just the best medicine. I want to get your boxing dvd and the weighted waist belt. Really looking forward to trying out those kits when I get my hands on them. Congratulations on the UK inroads.

Leslie, my name is Kathy I live in Florida. About 8months ago I got a bad report from my doctor. my cholesterol was very high, he wanted me to go on meads. I asked him, please give me a chance on my own. He gave me 3 months to see what I could do. I went home and through all the gunk food out, and knew I needed to exercise. I had your fath tape, did it for awhile. Then went bought more tapes, exercised about 3to4times a week. Measured all my food. Went back to the doctors at 3months. My cholesterol was down in half. I am now hooked on good habits. Thank you Leslie your taps are the answer.I lost 35 pounds.

Leslie, I was one of the lucky ones who bought the TSV on QVC UK. I must just say that I love them the motivation you give is awesome so much so that I have now gone on to buy the Advanced 5 mile DVD that I also love. One thing I would ask is how do you calculate the calories that are burned as despite having looked around there does not seem to be a section that gives this information. If this could be provided that would be another fantastic assett to your regime. I must say that I am 120% convert Walking is FUN FUN FUN. By the way where can I buy your T Shirt i am a super walker? Love & Best Wishes from the UK,

What an inspiration you are Leslie. I had a nasty accident nearly 2 years ago - getting fit!! I came of a bicycle and broke my ankle in three places. After 2 operations and 4 1/2 months of being non weight bearing I put loads of weight on. Its been a long journey but now I am getting back to fitness thanks to your fab DVD. I've lost 30 lbs but still have a long way to go but with you by my side I think I can do it. My daughter has just announced she's getting married in September (2011) so your DVD is going on holiday with me too! Spreading the word in North Yorkshire, UK Thank you so much
