5 Miles a Week!

Can you believe it?  New research shows only 5 Miles per week (that’s about 15 to 20 min. sessions – 5 times per week) can help slow the progression of Alzheimer’s … and there’s more … it can even prevent the onset of osteoarthritis!  Healthy brain function, healthy bone and joint function …. could walking be our most potent solution for modern day ailments?  I am just thinking about all you SUPER Walkers that put in 10, 15, 20+ Miles per week …. talk about “walking away disease risk!!!”

Put in a strong Tuesday walk everybody … as my buddy Stu says…. “Walk like your life depends on it!”

Check out your iVillage assignment for a good 2 Miler today!

Looking for a DVD to meet that 5 Miles per week goal?  Try our 5 Day Slim Down …. a mile for each week day!  Then do a long walk on Saturday … maybe a 3 or 4 Mile walk … now that’s a STRONG healthy week!

Hi Leslie:) I just purchased my first WALK dvd 5 day slim down and I am so happy. I had spinal surgery in 2009, metal plate and 8 screws in my neck and my life changed altogether. I was always a walker, I'm the girl who walked her lunch break at work and the beach on my days off, I felt like I wilting away without walking. I am now disabled and doctors told me I would never be out of pain or normal again, I want to beat that doomsayer prediction, Thank you for giving me my life back to some normal degree, I can walk!
