Truly we are all winners, as we embark on this great 21-day challenge!

So many of you have been sharing such positive feedback through Twitter and Facebook, as well as here on the blog! There have also been some great questions, which we wanted to answer before continuing on with the challenge.

Where do I sign up for the challenge?

No need to sign-up anywhere! If you’ve decided to participate, consider yourself part of the group! If you’d like to make an official declaration, as a way to commit yourself, you can leave a comment here letting us know that you’re excited and on-board.

How do I know what the challenges are?

This particular challenge is based on Walk-Eat-Lose, a 21-program focused on healthy eating and daily exercise. The challenge is completing the entire series as a team, with Leslie providing daily inspiration and insight!

So, can I not participate unless I have the DVD set?

We want everyone to participate, regardless of whether they own the DVD set or not! Each night we’ll be posting the next day’s challenge on the Facebook page. Those with the DVD set will have specific walks and meals to follow, but anyone can eat healthy and walk the suggested amount of miles for that particular day. The important part is that you join us in getting active and making your September a success story!!

Where can I connect with other walkers who are participating in the challenge?

There are so many great places to connect – such as in the comments here on the blog, through our Facebook page or on Twitter, where we are using the hashtag #septsuccess when we discuss anything related to the challenge.

You never have to walk alone! There is an incredibly positive, motivating group of walkers that want to cheer you on every step of the way!

CONGRATULATIONS – you’ve made it through day one of Operation September Success! Thank YOU for making the decision to walk with us!

We want to hear what you thought of day one:

  • What did you eat for breakfast this morning?
  • Did we answer all your questions regarding the challenge?
  • Did you invite a friend to join you in taking the challenge?

Walk ON!

Leslie

I have used the DVDs quite often. I took one to Botswana summer of 2009 and walked about 3 days per week. When the winter comes to Oregon and it is not a good day to get out or go to the gym, I have my Walk Away the Pounds DVDs to get me through.

Day 1 was a success! It was just what I needed to get going for the fall. I ate my normal protein bar for my morning meal and it powered me up for my walk!

Day one. So far so good! I had a control shake with blueberries and flax seed. I did the 4 fast miles and I might do more later.

Greetings from England! Just discovered Leslie's DVD's while on a trip back to Canada, and several friends here in UK have now ordered them. Let's walk!

Good morning everyone! Sounds like you all had a great first day of this new challenge - way to go!! Great beginning and now you can build on that success each day. Isnt it inspiring and motivating knowing that walkers from everywhere have committed to the challenge? You're never alone - you've always got the support and encouragement of each of us. I started my day off with a whole wheat waffle and fruit - I'm not generally an early morning walker but I'll get in some miles at lunchtime. Finish your month strong!

Good Morning Everyone! I have lost 57 pounds and now trying to maintain my weight. I have been doing a good job so far. Life got in the way for a few weeks but I maintained my weight. I am back on track and walking at least 2 miles a day several days a week. I have gone from size 16 to a size 6. I am determined to keep this weight off. I gave my "old" clothes away as to never gain the weight back.

After a short exercise break, I've started back. I want to lose 20 lbs overall and tone up, and I think Leslie's the one to do it with! I had two scrambled eggs w/ 1/8 cup of shredded cheese, coffee w/ sugarfree creamer, and good ole' H2O for breakfast. I'm very excited to be a part of this challenge!!

I did 3 miles today--Walk Your Belly Flat! I can't believe how much better my back feels after just 2 days! YAY!

I'm a little late but I'm in. Started in late July with the 3 mile fat blaster and had been doing the 4 fast mile 5-6 days a week in the evening up until about 10 days ago. Stuff got in the way and I just stopped. This is the motivation I needed to get going again. 53 pounds down, 80 to go!! Diet is good since I found out I have type 2 diabetes, just need the exercise!

I love the walking programs you design. On Monday I did 2 miles, Tuesday 4.5 miles and today 2+ miles. I have more energy and choose my foods with thought.

I'm in on the challenge. My trainer had suggested that I add cardio to my current program by doing an early morning aerobic walk daily. So I started doing Leslie's 4 Fast Miles at 4AM every morning. Have kept it up daily for 3 weeks. Some mornings it is a struggle getting out of bed, but I do enjoy the 4 Fast Miles once I get started. Leslie is right about one thing: "The more you move, the more you want to move."

Let’s hear from you!
