TGIF Walkers! Another summer weekend is just around the corner.

Walk

[Source]

As the season winds down, I’ve made a couple of very important observations about the way I most enjoy exercise. On the one hand, I am a firm believer that variety is the spice of life – trying new workouts from week to week to keep things interesting helps me avoid getting stuck in a workout rut.

On the other hand, I also find that unless my workouts are set to a specific schedule or structure, I lose my focus. While I crave selection, I simultaneously need to be guided in the right direction. I want to wake up every morning knowing exactly what I am striving to accomplish that day in order to reach my goals.

For these reasons, I am so excited to embark on Leslie’s 21-day Walk, Eat, Lose program. Our Walk at Home Team recently discussed the program’s launch on QVC. Now I’m ready to challenge myself and move from watching and reading about it to actually doing it!

My motivations are physical and mental. You see, I am two months away from my wedding day and want to look and feel my absolute best. I want my bridal glow to radiate from within. I want the love I have for myself to shine as brightly as the love I have for my husband-to-be.

And I want YOU to join me!

Whether you want to look your best for an upcoming fall event, are up for a new challenge or simply want to begin a lifelong, sustainable way to eat and exercise, I encourage you to join me on this 21-day journey to explore who we are and the amazing things we are capable of accomplishing when we put our minds to it.

Mark your calendars! This challenge is set to start on Monday, August 30. I can’t think of a better way to end one month and begin another. Let’s call it Operation: September Success Story!

If you already have the Walk, Eat, Lose program and want to join in, we are all for it! Otherwise, you can visit the QVC website or our own official store for details and special promotions.

To further motivate you, our walking friends, we are offering up a t-shirt and workout pants from our newest line of Walk at Home gear (found in our online store here) to three winning commenters!

Click the thumbnails below to view our new fitted and loose fitting shirts.

Plus, click below to check out our two new styles of walk pants!

To enter for a chance to win one of three t-shirt and pant sets of your choice, simply leave a comment below letting us know you’ll be joining us on our 21-day Operation: September Success Story!

We will randomly select our three winners on Monday, August 30, to kick off the challenge! You can enter until 11:59 p.m. EST on Sunday, August 29.

Questions? Comments? Are you as excited as we are?! We look forward to hearing from you!

Walk ON,

Leslie

Today I couldn't lift my 1 year old boy because I pulled my back again, due to the excess weight I'm carrying & my weak abdominals. This is the second back pull in as many months. I'm only 37 and I may also have type 2 diabetes now. I was always thin, fit and healthy and never imagined I would be the "fat lady" with self induced health issues. I need to do this challenge for myself and my family. Wish me luck!

This is so the motivation I need - a challenge - and one I can do. Thanks!

I am so looking forward to a brand new month. August was my OFFICIAL month back to Leslie walking and regular exercise since my mom was hospitalized in mid-February!! My goal for the month was 60 miles. As of yesterday, August 19 I am only 5 miles away from meeting my goal, which means I will be surpassing my goal for the month!! I plan to go for 80 miles for September, and I can't wait. Walking with Leslie again has truly been a breath of fresh air. I feel like life has been breathed into me again. I feel like I can do ANYTHING! Even though I am now unemployed and desperately searching for a job, my outlook is positive and walking with Leslie definitely keeps my mood up!! Thank you Leslie!! You are the best!! You rock!!!

OMG!!! I have 3 dvd of Walling off the pds, but barely use them, now that I relocated back home, Puerto Rico. The heat/sun is brutal out here... but I am going to make myself do it at night, when the temp is down in the 80s.... as I read the articles here, I came to realize, that the heat should not keep me down, and that I should get use to it, after all, I was raised and lived here for nearly 24 yrs b4 relocating to the states. =) everyone, great job, keep up the good work... HAVE A NICE WEEKEND!!!

How perfect! I have a genetic condition that causes my liver to fail all on its own, so if I eat too much fat it accumulates in liver and I seriously increase the risk of liver cancer and liver cirrhosis! I only got the diagnosis last year. Since then I have lost 65 lbs and then regained 15. I have been struggling to find the motivation I had last year after learning of my diagnosis. This is perfect! I feel like I have a group of people to do it with! Operation: September Success Story (Again) for me! Thanks Walk At Home for keeping me motivated to be healthy forever!

Hi! My sister is getting married in 2 months and I've been working out and watching my calorie intake since January of this year. Almost a month ago I bought the Eat, Walk , and Lose system from QVC. I said to myself that I was going to do the 21 day challenge as soon as I received it. Well life had other plans. With all the bridal shower planning and chaos I just couldn't fit this in. I did however step up my walking regimen from 2-4 miles per day to 4-8 miles per day!I feel amazing! I haven't dropped much weight but I have lost inches. This is still good in my book! I am so thrilled that you're going to start this challenge for everyone to join in on. I like a bit of competition!

I'M IN!!! I am 65 (66 next month) and am using Leslie's CDs to train for the 3-Day Walk for Breast Cancer (60 miles, 20 miles over 3 days) that I'm going to do for the first time in November in San Diego, California. I started training in May in order to drop some extra weight and also to give myself plenty of time to get in shape and get these old legs moving again. I am a medical transcriptionist and my job requires me to sit a lot, and I had gotten somewhat sedentary! However, thanks to Leslie and her Walk-At-Home program, I have lost a total of 10 pounds and several inches. In the last 6 weeks, I have been averaging 49.55 miles of walking per week and always try to get to 60 when I can. I am happy to exercise every day and love the inspiration that Leslie gives throughout every one of her workouts!! Marking my calendar, COUNT ME IN!!!

Thanks Leslie for the great excercise programs and the motivation.

Wow, what perfect timing! I've been trying to find a way to motivate myself to exercise. I often find excuses - the weather, the lack of friends to workout with, time... Recently I discovered Leslie's Walk DVD's and have enjoyed renting/borrowing them. Before I purchase one, I wanted to find the perfect one for me. My excuses are dwindling. I can Walk at Home inspite of the weather, Leslie can be my motivating friend, and there are a variety of workouts (1-5 miles) that I can do no matter how much time I have. Thanks for the inspiration to get up & WALK!

Being a teacher, I am so motivated this September to show my students how to live a healthy lifestyle. I try to incorporate some type of movement every day into my classes (and I teach English to Junior High - so that can be a challenge). I also have pedometers for my students, because they like to compete in a step challenge with me. This new challenge will be the key to starting the school year off right and allowing me to be a healthy role-model to my students, as Leslie is for me! Thank you!

August 30th will be my 57th birthday. I've been working out with Leslie for about 18 months now and continually get compliments on how good I'm looking. I've given Walk at Home CD's to my sister and three of my friends who all love them! One friend has lost 40 lbs., another is in her 80's and has seen an improvement in her balance and sleep patterns. For my birthday, I am giving the five women in my Bible Study group each a set of the Walk-Eat-Lose CD's ... I want them to join me in long term good health. I have always had a little extra weight on me, and because I'm 5'2" it shows more. I have started Weight Watchers I little over a month ago, and have been doing well, but when I found the WAH DVDs I couldn't get enough. I have started walking off the pounds. I started walking 1 mile at night, then 2 miles. The ony time I can walk is at night due to my responsibiities at work and home. It's too hot outside right now but I decided "no excuses". I tell everyone "I'm walking with my new best friend!". I'm working up to 3 miles the more. By the time I get home my Walk Eat Lose shippment should be there. I'm in for the long run. Labor Day will be one year from the day I got my new hip. I have not been able to walk for several years because of pain, and I have gotten into terrible shape. Over the past year I have learned to walk again, and am starting to get to the point where I can take a walk. I can walk about 1/2 a mile without pain. After a couple more months, I should be able to walk all day without pain. I am SO wanting to see that day. This will be very motivational for me. A concrete goal that is not many months or years off. I can stick with it, and get back to a habit of walking. I walked when I was in school. I lived in an apartment in the city with two dogs and we walked twice a day, every day. Rain, snow, sleet, hail, ice, burning heat; the dogs HAVE to go out, so I HAD to go out. It was so good for me, and I have really missed it. Now with a new hip, I feel I have a new lease on life, and I am ready to take advantage of it. Walk on!

I have been walking daily since July 13. I am on target to lose 30 pounds by the time I turn 40. I always turn to Leslie when I get serious - I wish I lived closer to actually come to the studio. 11.5 pounds down so far in 7 weeks. I am PROUD and can't wait to keep losing more with this challenge! LET'S GO!

I recently lost over 60 lbs. with Leslie and her WAH vidoes. Sadly, I have since gained back about 30 lbs. I am looking forward to getting "back on track" with this challenge. I refuse to be 300 lbs ever again! Good luck to all!

Can't wait....I love these challenges !! I am a mother of 4 kids ( 3 and under), so it is so hard for me to get out of the house. I use the walk at home DVDs everyday and they have helped me lose my baby weight and maintain a healthy weight. I love Mrs. Sansone's positive attitude and caring spirit, it keeps me motivated!

Loooking forward to the challenge as a way to push myself and to NOT let my health condition discourage me! With full body RSD it is often hard to push past the pain and keep moving but walking with Leslie has not only kept me out of a wheelchair but keeps me moving every day!

I will be joining the challenge. I have several of the walk away the pounds dvds. I switch them up daily to keep it fresh. Starting tomorrow I want to do the bootcamp dvd every other day to see if I can tell a difference in the next few weeks. I will also be doing some other dvd on the days I don't do the bootcamp walk.

I am so ready for the challenge. I have had the eat, walk, lose since it debuted in January. I love the new workouts and find it great addition to the other videos that I had already used (walk away the waistline, walk strong, 30 minute walk, muscle mile 1, walk/jog and the 4 mile super challenge), and I have since added the bootcamp. I have already lost 19 lbs and have about 60 more to go. My cables for the dvd set broke during a workout about 2 weeks ago and until I have the money to replace it, I have been using the walk away belt and have had to modify some of the workout that match more of the walk away your waistline then the super walks, but still feel like I get a great workout. I have also found a great support system with some of Leslie's friends from facebook that are my chearleaders in my fitness and wieghtloss journey. During this 21 day challenge, I am excited to see the results that my body will achieve. Thank you Leslie for these awesome workouts.

I have close to 30 of Leslie's DVDs and take every opportunity to share information with others about how great the program is!

My 13 yo daughter and I accept the challenge. We walked pretty faithfully last year and bought more of Leslie's power walking videos for variety and challenge. My daughter uses it for p.e. for home school which is a great bonus for me to have a walking partner and keep me accountable, too. THANKS!!

To one Leslie from another Leslie - I just spent the weekend on a red eye weekend in Atlantic City, NJ and walked the majority of the time. When I got off the bus Sunday morning, I felt like I couldn't move. I made the decision that the time is now to get in shape so I can do the spontaneous things without having my body hold be back. I am 3 weeks away from turning 57 and I am tired of being out of shape. My journey starts now and I would love to be turning heads in my new gear as I walk down the road to the new me.

I have done so many of Leslie's DVD's and really enjoyed them and worked hard. But I am at a standstill as someone else mentioned and would really like to move ahead and lose 10-15 more pds. I also need new motitivation as things get so hectic with a husband, four kids and a part-time job that I start to work hard again and then the next week I think it is ok to let a couple days of exercise slip. I look forward to the next month with all of you.

I just spent a couple of months doing a super intense workout routine, but couldn't keep it up. It's been a couple weeks now since I've exercised and I'm realizing that the "sustainable" part of the exercise plan is the most important part! The workouts you'll actually DO are infinitely more effective than the workouts you won't! That being said, I'm so happy to start walking with you guys again tomorrow! What could be more sustainable than a walking routine?

Well, I'm new to the site but not to Leslie, although it's been years since I have walked with her. What better way to get back on board than starting with a challenge so count me in. I'm going out of tomorrow, be back Sunday night so my official start day will be Monday which means I'll finish a week later than everyone else, and I'm ok with that because it's not when I start but that I finish once I start and it will still be September when I finish, right? Good Luck to everyone!!!!

OOPS, that should be going out of town tomorrow.
