WOW!!!!  I am THRILLLLLED!  Thank you all for your posts and your BIG ENTHUSIASM!  21 Days from now we will all be stronger, more fit, slimmer and feeling better than ever … It’s the BEST time of year to get on a routine and have that “routine” pay off in big results!!  So let’s get walking …. today is an easy day …. mostly because you and I are SUPER READY …. we won’t let anything stop us today!  I already had breakfast – whole grain toast – fresh fruit smoothie (coffee … my favorite!) and I will be doing my 2 miles in about an hour from now … please remember that you DO NOT have to buy anything for this 21 Day Challenge …. walking for fitness is always FREE!!!!  Take your walks outdoors or on a treadmill at work …  you can time yourself and walk 10 mins. before each meal today …. your goal today is to get in enough exercise to work off “all” or “most” of the calories in breakfast!  Even without knowing how many calories your breakfast actually is – I’m sure we all agree it is  the most “controlled” of our other meals   …. and a 30 min. session of “brisk” exercise will work off  a good amount of those breakfast calories! I will be doing the 2 Mile Super Walk using the Cables from the Walk-Eat-Lose 21-Day Challenge! …. Now remember I don’t need the DVD  …. I know the routine by heart! LOL!

Assignment – Monday Aug. 30 – Eat Breakfast!  Walk 2 Miles or 30 mins. at a brisk pace!

WALK ON my friends!

I'm excited today. I already did 4 fast miles with the 2lb weight belt. I did it before breakfast though, which was oat meal and 1 cup of milk, not sure how that works.. maybe instead of working off breakfast I made room for it ??????

Finished the "Walk/Eat/Lose" 2 miler for this morning after having my healthy breakfast of whole wheat toast and a bowl of chunks of banana-pineapple-apple. This challenge is an excting way to begin the week and take us into September - one of my favorite months!! Happy walking everyone!

My goal is to get in 5 or 6 miles today. I'm trying to finish the month with 100 miles which would exceed my goal for the month by 40 miles!! This is my first official month starting back with regular exercise, as I was on a long hiatus which ended toward the end of last month :)

Haven't done WTP in sooo long and made it through the 2 mile walk with hand weights this morning after a healthy shredded wheat & lite vanilla soy milk breakfast! It feels so good! Not bad for a 62 year old grandma! I'm going to get another mile in later.

I need shoes what is everyone else wearing? Just a couple suggestions please.

Mechele, shoes are pretty much a matter of personal preference. I find that running shoes work best for me...for Leslie's workouts and for regular walking as well. My favorite brand is New Balance. The big thing with sneakers is to make sure you try them on. They should feel comfortable right when you try them on - You don't "break in" to sneakers...so if they hurt from the start, put them down, and try another pair.

Thanks Star! I have a pair of New balance but I think they are half a size too big. I have curves shoes as well with the same issue. How many miles are you walking a day six? I started doing that for a week but only ended up doing three miles most days. I really want to do six a day.

Had a bowle of cereal and peaches with milk, did 4 fast miles and fast firmming in the morning and had enough energey to vacume and dust my whole house this afternoon. I think thats great. Can't wait to see what tomorrow brings.

Hi Mechele, I also have Curves shoes, and really love them. I have 2 toning sandals by Curves that I just love, but I don't use them for Leslie workouts....I have tried, but the really aren't designed for that kind of movement. I like their sneakers too although they wear out quickly. That's why New Balance is my favorite...they are great quality and really last...although you should change sneakers about every 500 miles. Right now I'm averaging about 3-4 miles a day. I wanted to do 6 today, but didn't make it because I was too hot. I wanted to do 6 today and 5 tomorrow so I could hit 100 miles for the month. But I just decided 95 or 96 miles will be just as good...It still exceeds my goal of 60 :) I think 7 is the most I have done in one session...can't remember what the most I've done in a day. But right now 3 miles seems to be the perfect amount for me to feel really great :)
